The Protéalpes brand was born in Rhône-Alpes (France), founded by two pharmacists, Aymeric and Guillaume, sports enthusiasts with a passion for nutrition, health, nature and the Alps in general.

These values are very much in evidence in Switzerland too, and Protéalpes products have been in demand in the country ever since they were launched in 2021.

Today, we established Mela Nutrition SA, a company registered with the Geneva Commercial Registry, to expand our operations in the region. All of our shipments to Switzerland—whether to businesses or individuals—are now dispatched from our in-house warehouse in Geneva, managed by our on-site team.

Beyond simply creating an “optimized” system, we also sought to generate local economic activity and jobs within an economic zone and in a neighboring Alpine country where we operate. This approach to development—which is directly integrated into an economic zone and has a positive impact on it—makes a lot of sense to us. 

We've been careful to keep the same overall prices as we originally charged when shipping direct to Switzerland from France. The product price has risen slightly, but shipping costs have fallen sharply.

We have simply increased the product price, since we can no longer benefit from duty-free sales on international exports, and have to take into account customs clearance and transport costs "a priori", before availability on Swiss stock.

On the other hand, we have a much more attractive shipping policy for Swiss customers than in the past. Indeed, shipping costs are CHF 8 for orders under CHF 65, and free for orders over CHF 65.
